The Buffalo Bills have signed All-Pro cornerback Taron Johnson to a three-year, $31-million extension. Johnson’s agent told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the deal will make Johnson the highest-paid nickel cornerback in the NFL, a title had previously been held by the Colts’ Kenny Moore, who returned to Indianapolis on a three-year, $30-million.

The 27-year-old Johnson appeared in all 17 regular season games in 2023, recording 98 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He was named a second-team All-Pro for the first time in his career last season. in his six seasons since being taken in the fourth round by Buffalo, the cornerback has produced 335 tackles, 39 pass defenses, four interceptions, and seven sacks.
