The Edmonton Oilers beat the Florida Panthers 5-3 in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup final on Tuesday at Amerant Bank Arena.

The Oilers took an early three-goal lead, with Connor McDavid scoring two goals and two assists and Evan Bouchard adding three assists. Connor Brown, Zach Hyman and Corey Perry also had goals for the Oilers, while Stuart Skinner stopped 30 shots to help Edmonton avoid elimination after being down 3-0.

Florida leads the best-of-7 series 3-2, with Game 6 scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
