Darius Rucker has shared his latest song “Fires Don’t Start Themselves,” after Rucker dropped hints on his social media channels leading up to the release. Rucker explained the story behind “Fires Don’t Start Themselves,” written by Ben Hayslip, Dan Isbell and Jacob Rice, and produced by Dann Huff: “You know, it’s a song about that time when you’re sitting at home with your significant other or girlfriend or wife or boyfriend or husband or whatever, and you know it’s time. It’s time to get down to business. That’s what that song’s all about.”

Rucker debuts his latest track as he gears up for the release of his forthcoming seventh studio album, Carolyn’s Boy, named in honor of his late mother.  Rucker is also gearing up for his 21-date “Starting Fires Tour,” set to kick off in mid-June and spanning across the U.S. and Canada with special guests on select dates, Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors and Drew Green.
