LOCASH is joined by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston of The Beach Boys on their new single “Beach Boys.”
Beach Boys was originally released as a solo version on LOCASH’s ‘Woods & Water EP before it was discovered by The Beach Boys themselves. The duo was invited to join The Beach Boys (and John Stamos) on stage during a sold-out show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium back in February to perform “Beach Boys” live for the first time, as a part of The Beach Boys 60th anniversary celebration.
Beach Boys was written by LOCASH’s Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, alongside Dallas Wilson, Jared Mullins, Brian Wilson, and Mike Love. Brust shares: “The day we wrote ‘Beach Boys,’ I remember Chris and I dreaming of recording it with The Beach Boys. We never imagined that they’d hear it, let alone get the chance to lay down our parts with Mike [Love] and Bruce [Johnston] and actually feel like we were a part of a group that we’ve idolized for so long! It’s crazy how it all became a reality and now the fun really begins!”
Mike Love of The Beach Boys added: “We had a blast collaborating with Chris and Preston of LOCASH! The song is so hooky – I can’t get it out of my head. I love mixing it up! Country Rock met Surf Rock and created a fun summer hit!”
“Beach Boys”is available now to buy or stream. You can take a listen to the song – here.
