Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has a minor joint capsule sprain of his left knee and will not play in the remaining two games of the team’s road trip, the team announced.

“The way they described it to me is we’ll see how the next few days go and kind of evaluate him and see where he is then,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. Antetokounmpo suffered the injury in Friday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers and underwent an MRI, which revealed the injury. Antetokounmpo missed Sunday’s game against the Phoenix Suns and will miss Monday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.

Antetokounmpo is the NBA’s reigning MVP, and third in the NBA with a 29.6 points-per-game average.
